It’s been quiet on some of our campuses lately—but in a good way! For the last 10 months, the Utah Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM) grounds crews have been testing out a fully electric UTV, and the results are electrifying.
This pilot program, made possible by a generous grant from the Utah Clean Air Partnership (UCAIR), is all about finding smarter, cleaner ways to get the job done.
The UTV has been busy. It spent its first six months navigating the grounds at the Utah State Developmental Center, proving its worth in the field. Now, it has moved to the Taylorsville State Office Building, where it is completing the final leg of the one-year pilot.
We are loving the opportunity to test-drive the future of air quality best practices. Want to see it in action? Check out the UCAIR/DFCM Electric UTV Pilot announcement video HERE
